‘Featured’ & ‘Associate’ Reader Information & Rules
What is loveahappyending.com? An interactive Reader/Author website to help promote new Authors and enable YOU, the readers, to interact and make a real difference in helping them become more widely read. You have the chance to really get to know these new authors and become a part of their journey to becoming really great authors!
What is a Featured Reader? Someone who loves reading books and would like to be interviewed in our Review Chair, by Editor Janice Horton. This is a regular feature of our magazine style blog on loveahappyending.com. If you’ve purchased one of our author’s books, or won a copy in our ‘giveaway’ competitions, simply contact us and Janice will ‘interview’ you via Email.
What is an Associate Reader? A Featured Reader who actively supports loveahappyending.com’s Authors by spreading the word using social media, review websites (Goodreads, Amazon etc) and maybe their own blogs. Actively telling other people about our exciting 30 hand-picked new Authors and how much they enjoyed reading their books. If you see a good website and think it should feature one of our Authors, suggest it to them! You can also support individual Author’s websites to give encouragement and feedback: it’s always appreciated.
Our blog features everyone in our team – new Authors, Featured Readers (one-off reviews) and Associate Readers. You can Twitter and Facebook links to the loveahappyending.com blog to help us increase exposure for our Authors. Our blog is ‘magazine’ style, and as an Associate when you take part in an article we will always include links to your own website/blog and Twitter A/c.
To become an Associate Reader you simply get in touch with us via the website. You will have your own dedicated page telling our visitors all about you (click on the link below to see our list of Associate Readers and click through to their pages):-

We encourage our new Authors to interact with you and you may even be invited to read new, unpublished work or be offered free/advance copies to review. When each Author is in the blog ‘spotlight’ they will enjoy talking about the difference your involvement has made to them, and we will be launching group initiatives that will be fun for all.
Rules
1. Extracts from your review will be incorporated into a blog post written by someone representing loveahappyending.com, together with information about you, taken from the information you supply to us in the Email interview.
2. The date your review will appear will be posted on our Blog Programme - on the righthand side of our website, scroll down to the bottom.
3. Constructive criticism received will be passed on to the author concerned, but we reserve the right to make judgement over what is included in the review.
4. If you are not happy with your Review Chair article once it is published, please contact us and ask for it to be removed; we will do so as quickly as possible. If there are any inaccuracies in the content please let us know as soon as you spot them and we will correct them as quickly as possible.
5. Our website is aimed at READERS and showcasing our 30 new Authors. Becoming an Associate Reader is a scheme aimed at avid readers, who realise there is a time commitment in providing support and joining in. If you also happen to write, it is not a guarantee that if a place is vacated as our new Authors ‘grow’ and move on, that you will be offered a place. This project is based on a range of genres, age groups (of authors and reading content) and geographical spread that we will strive to maintain in the interests of the project.
6. Please regard all work shared with you by our authors as ‘copyright’ protected. If you are not sure please ask. Authors might share confidential information with you, or give advance copies of work that has yet to be published and will be ‘for your eyes only’. Such documents and information should not be shared, passed on, or discussed with anyone other than the author you are supporting.
Our Authors are new and range from those who are yet to be published, through to those who have now written several books; they all appreciate feedback that is constructive and encouragement to help them grow into tomorrow’s successful Authors.
We would love you to be a part of their developing careers and show the world that it is about READERS supporting Authors, but on a much more PERSONAL level; helping to prove that access to a huge advertising budget is not the only way to establish a writing career. Readers will buy books recommended to them by friends and acquaintances, so let’s spread the word!
